Overview

How this service works

The ticketing desk books international air travel and everything that hangs off it — hotels, transfers, and the itinerary that ties them together. Whether it is a single one-way ticket or a multi-city trip for a group, the work is the same: find routings that actually suit the traveller, explain the fare conditions before booking, and be reachable if something changes en route.

Cheapest is not always best, and we will say so. A fare that saves a modest amount but adds a long overnight layover, a self-transfer between terminals, or a fare class that cannot be changed at all is frequently the wrong choice. We put the options next to each other with those trade-offs spelled out.

Changes, cancellations and refunds are governed by the fare rules of the ticket you buy, not by us. We tell you what those rules are before you commit, and if you later need to change something we handle the process with the airline on your behalf.

DPS provides documentation, application and travel-arrangement support only. Visa decisions are made solely by the relevant embassies, consulates and visa authorities, and are never guaranteed by DPS.

What's included

What this covers in detail

Each point below is part of the arranged service. Anything outside it is listed separately further down, so there are no assumptions either way.

International flight ticketing

One-way, return and multi-city tickets across our covered regions, issued after you have seen the routing, the fare conditions and the total cost in writing.

Fare and routing advice

A plain comparison of the realistic options — journey time, number of stops, layover length, baggage allowance and how flexible the fare is — rather than a single take-it-or-leave-it price.

Group and corporate bookings

Travel for families, work parties and larger groups booked together so that everyone is on the same routing, with a single point of contact for the whole party.

Hotel bookings

Accommodation at your destination arranged alongside the flights, chosen for location relative to why you are actually travelling.

Airport and destination transport

Airport transfers at both ends and onward transport at the destination, so arrival at an unfamiliar airport is not left to chance.

Support before and during travel

Your full itinerary and booking references in writing ahead of departure, and someone to contact if a flight is delayed, cancelled or needs to be changed while you are away.

Step by step

How an enquiry becomes a booking

The order things actually happen in, so you know what comes next at every stage.

  1. Send your trip details

Origin, destination, dates or a rough window, number of travellers, cabin class and anything that has to be worked around.

  2. Compare the options

We come back with routings and fares side by side, including baggage allowance and how flexible each fare is.

  3. Choose and confirm

You pick the option that suits. We confirm the fare conditions with you in writing before issuing anything.

  4. Tickets issued

Tickets are issued and your itinerary, references and timings are sent through in full.

  5. Add hotels and transfers

Accommodation and ground transport are booked around the confirmed flights if you want them arranged too.

  6. Travel, with someone to call

If a schedule changes or something goes wrong in transit, you contact us and we deal with the airline.

Before you apply

What to have ready

To quote accurately and issue a ticket we need a few details. Passport details in particular must exactly match the passport you will travel on — airlines charge to correct a misspelled name, and some will not correct it at all.

  • Full name exactly as printed on the passport
  • Passport number, nationality, date of birth and expiry date
  • Preferred travel dates, or the window you can move within
  • Departure city and destination, including any onward stops
  • Cabin class and baggage requirements
  • Any frequent flyer numbers, seating or meal preferences

Check your visa and entry requirements for every country on your routing, including any country you only transit through. We can advise, but the traveller is responsible for holding the right documents.

Not included

What sits outside this

  • Airline charges for seat selection, extra baggage or meals

  • Fare differences arising when you change a booking
  • Personal expenses at the destination

Regions covered

  • Europe, including the UK and Schengen countries
  • United States and Canada
  • Australia
  • Middle East and the Gulf states
